Sara Alghesheyan (b. 1993, Saudi Arabia) is a multimedia artist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She holds a BA in Media and Film Studies from the University of San Francisco (2019) and an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University (2024). Her practice moves between moving image, installation, and docufiction. She explores memory, perception, disappearance, and the emotional resonance of spaces, objects, and inherited narratives.

Alghesheyan has presented her work in In Its Presence, Misk Art Week, Saudi Arabia (2025); GRAVITATIONAL LENSING: Feminist Film Dialogues, United States (2025); Between Memories & Dreams, Duke University, United States (2024); I Can See Land, Sindbad, Saudi Arabia (2023); Fonāna, FOAM Museum, Netherlands (2023); Salwa Ya Salwa, Expanded Cinema, Duke University, United States (2023); Halal Tooth Fairy, Binghamton Experimental Film Festival, United States (2023); Art Spring Festival BAI, Germany (2023); Durational Portrait, Athr Gallery, Saudi Arabia (2020); and Young Saudi Artists, Athr Gallery, Saudi Arabia (2019). She completed Misk Art Institute’s BAI Residency Program, Germany (2023), and Masaha, Cycle 11, at Misk Art Institute, Saudi Arabia (2026). She is also a co-instructor of ART of the MOOC: Colors and Power, produced by Duke University.
